I am a hand weaver, producing bespoke hand woven fabrics for interiors. Most of my work is to commission and is individually designed and woven for each client, and includes wall panels, rugs, cushions, throws and window hangings. My inspiration is taken from each client, for example, and existing piece of art, their favourite flowers or view from their window, etc., so I know that each piece will be unique to them. All my fabrics are richly textured and sit comfortably in a contemporary setting.


I enjoy using simple, traditional weaves, but give them impact by incorporating areas of texture and unusual colour combinations. At present I am working with plain weave ( the simplest of weave constructions), weaving with overtwisted yarns to give areas of pile or using very textured yarns in areas of inlay over the plain weave to produce wall panels that are purely decorative. Along side this I am eexploring the use of plain weave with monofilament and inlayed texture, weaving decorative, but functional pieces to be displayed in windows or as room dividers.
