Artists Statement

In 1908 Jules Romains wrote that the development of cities and the urban dynamism of modern life would lead to a new expressive creativity, he wrote: "I strongly believe that the bonds of feeling between a man and his city, that the whole ethos, the large movements of consciousness, the colossal passions of human groups are capable of creating a profound lyricism or a superb epic cycle"
