My name is Zhenlian, I come from China, I am a retired art teacher, now I spend my spare time in painting, this is my most favorite pastime.
I like to experiment with different mediums, such as acrylic and ink on paper.
I like oil painting most, I love it for the richness of its colours and its flexibility, that is to say i can paint a landscape a thousand times before I find it satisfactory. I love to cover my canvas with a profusion of colours in their dream-like imageries. I only put beautiful images into my paintings, I disregard all the ugliness and sadness in my paintings.
I go to my canvas for a form of escape. That is to say painting can help me forget my age and worries. When I am at my painting, I forget that time is running. When I finish a painting I feel happy.
All my paintings are not just simple reproduction of the real world, they are integrations of the real and the imaginative.
