I have been a professional artist for over 20 years. I work out of my home studio full-time & avoid domestic chores as much as possible.
At 4 years of age I began formal traditional art training & continued this training through my high school years. College seemed like a good time to try something new so I ventured into graphic design with emphasis on illustrative techniques. -- My former fine art teachers were appalled! (Insert Devil-may-care chuckle here.)
The college experience and the steady employment it ensured has lead me to be very pleased with the choices I have made in using the talents God has given me.
I enjoy detail oriented work in color or b/w. I frequently use women, children, animals, & flowers in my art, but I love to do abstract creations as well!
Though I usually work in mixed media, you may also see my work in watercolor, acrylic, gouache, pencil, ink, dye or pastel. I am skilled in creating realistic clay sculptures and enjoy creating bas-reliefs. I never use or make molds of my work.
I often consult specialists & reference materials, for my work, synthesizing this information into accurate, purposeful, slice-of-life roughs & final images.
My art comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
