Born in Worcester on 11th April 1982, Mike developed a love for drawing and painting at a young age. Attending Hawford Lodge School, Worcester, from the age of 4 he won a scholarship to The King's School Worcester at the age of 13.

It was at King's that his love for art and landscape painting developedas he went on to achieve A's in art at both GCSE and A-level.

After a brief stint in HM Royal Navy, Mike headed for Newcastle University where he graduated with a BA(hons) Fine Art. During the course he left landscape painting behind, allowing him to pursue his interest in contemporary installational work.

Now a practising artist, Mike's work continues to be torn in two distinct directions. Returning to land and seascapes, he continues to pursue surreal drawing and imagery.
