Lives and works in Western Australia .
Over the last decade he has developed a passion for Illustrating and graphic design . His first production was a self published book called the "Journey of Juaram" which was a compelling story of life as a child living in Gwang-Ju South Korea. It was inspired while living and working in South Korea as a teacher. That was a building block for another book that is still in prodution . Nikko Japan ,this book is around the turn of the century photography during the rule of the famous Tokugawa Clan, just before emporor Meiji. The journey in this book covers the research into the Tokugawa Clan and magnificent paintings and skeches were created during the visit ..including an outstanding display of 45 Sumi-E paintings. Sumi-E is japanese one brush ink paintings on rice paper ,which also be featured soon here on Artflock.
Recently Zach has started a new collection of works , this time producing a series of prints onto canvas from his fine ink Illustrations done on wood pulp. These are paintings of individuality and are very expressive , using a carefully thought palette. Zach has done alot of portriature and figures , however he has a few styles and has done building perspectives and abstract works. .all of which will be seen here soon!..

hi goddin, I have to disagree with you on this, I think the work looks great "half done" as you describe. Don't you think it makes you focus in on the main element of each piece? I love this style myself, but then a good artwork is one that provokes a reaction I guess!

I must addmit after looking at freshwaters work it starts to grow on you I would like to see it framed in the artist own border to see if it gives another dimenssion to the work. The use of female subjects is interesting if the artist has any other work maybe male or children subjects I would love to view them.

I think it's beautiful, with all it's movement. It's very sensuous, not necessarily erotic, art.Keep up the good work Mr Freshwater.
