There is treasure everywhere, I know this because I was fortunate enough to have spent weekends of my early years in two wondrous places; the beach along the gulf coast and my grandpa's farm in the Rio Grande valley of Texas. Both of these places hold incredibly magic memories. The discovery of all these fascinating things from other peoples lives and from long ago captivated my imagination. I was awed by the ocean and the tide line full of strange treasure from the other side of the world. And after all these years I am starting to share my love of old, rusty, odd, forgotten, washed-up, bleached-out, mundane yesterday stuff, through sculpture and painting, with any and everybody who might care to look at the things I put together from all the neat bits and pieces that happen into my path.
When I am in my Studio painting or making a metal piece, I feel intense emotion. This is what my art is, explorations of emotions that different scenes or particular items evoke for me, expressed through painting or sculpture. I enjoy sharing my works. They describe ideas that I can't translate into words.
