Photoartist jon meer was born in the federal republic of germany.
He grew up in vienna where he finished school.
In linz then he was trained as a retail trader and he practised for thirteen years.
His last job as manager he quit to begin studies in (fine) arts painting then determined his life and

he started with first exhibitions in the artsclub „domviertel" in linz he met singer and painter robinson (from duo waterloo & robinson)
and they had some exhibitions together in addition jon meer was more and more interested in photography and
photoart became an increasingly strong element of his work now his exhibitions represented both branches.
He organized several events to reach a young audience for arts.
Today he exclusively works as an photoartist but painting still finds its way to his work in photo-water-colours which are overpainted pictures taken by himself.
He spent some time in switzerland the czech republic poland and germany but now lives and works again in linz.
