Artists Statement
Zbigniew (Zibi) Bilyk
I am a professional artist who currently works from studio in Sydney.
I was born in Poland and raised in Lewin Brzeski. The new body of work, series inspired by Sydney scenery are large abstract paintings. My strategy this year is to further develop and expand my art and create abstracts that are grounded in reality displaying strong compositions of colors and shapes. I am looking forward to focus on developing my artistic skills to represent myself in the art market and become self-sufficient.
I graduated from Academy of the Fine Arts Cracow in native Poland.
I like to supplement my work with drawing and photography.
My professional background is in web and graphic design (typography/animation/TV).
My work is collected by private and corporate clients in Australia and overseas.

Thanks Ed, I’m flattered especially when the prising comes from a fellow artist.
All the paintings except the two Starry Night ones were sold by gallery in Sydney. I do accept commissions, let me know which is your favorite one you might just be able to afford it :-) and we can certainly discuss the deal. I will present more work, this is just a kick off.
