I have been painting and drawing in a variety of styles and mediums all my life.

In recent years I have learnt to love working with oil on canvas. I like the way I can interact with it, I enjoy the flow and texture, I adore the range of colours and their translucency.

I have now discovered the freedom of creating abstract paintings. I like to use texture and colour to generate movement, and am interested in the elements and nature.

I start with no real fixed ideas and allow a work to develop. This is exciting - it gives a painting a life of it's own. It's interesting when you don't know where the journey will take you; sometimes I love where I arrive, other times less so.
