Description

"Japanese Daisies" is one of a selection of artworks inspired by my love of flowers and Japanese art, such as the beautifully patterned kimonos. This piece looks at a bunch of beautiful, delicate daisies, amongst a selection of patterned vases, fans and grounds. The vases and grounds were selected for there beautiful patterns, which highlight the delicate daisies. The color palette of navy blues, burnt red and delicate pinks create a striking bold piece. The artwork was created with the use of colorful inks applied in washes and with a pipette to create a vibrant piece of work.
