Interstice Familia ( 2004, Print ) by Aine Scannell

Description

This work started out as a drawing that was made as part of a series based on the metaphor of the chessboard Vis a Vis 'the games people play. The idea of positive and negative personal space is also explored here. The initial drawing was made using charcoal and soft pastel - it was then scanned in to the computer and I was able to manipulate the forms to a resolution that was more satisfactory. I often think of this piece of being about the dynamics that go into making up the phenomenon of 'family'.

Limited edition of 20 embossed artists chopmark signed/numbered etc.
