Description

"Gerberas and Circles" was originally designed as a textile piece, but looks great on a wall of a contemporary room. The strong but appealing colour palette of pinks and mauve's, makes it ideal for livening up a minimalist themed room, as it does my own bedroom. The piece was originally painted after seeing a selection of gerberas in a supermarket. The strong shape and feel of these flowers lead them to stand above all the other flowers, and it was this feeling of boldness and striking beauty I have captured in my piece. The flowers are painted with the use of acrylic and collage together with a ground of circles to create a 3.D look and give the piece a feeling of depth. The artwork is currently unframed, but does come with a white mount ready for framing.
