Description

"White Flowers and Patchwork Square" is one of several paintings inspired by my love of the Japanese kimono. The intricate piece looks at a selection of beautiful, fresh, clean flowers on a patch work of detailed patterns. The flowers are beautifully painted using ink and a pipette. The delicate flowers are then embellished with embroidery. These flowers are then inter cut onto a brown and bronze patterned ground created with the use of inks and acrylics. The bronze ground and the embroidery catch the light beautifully, adding a real rich feel to the piece.
