Description

"Japanese Peony" is one of a selection of watercolour artworks inspired by my love of the traditional Japanese style. The delicate peonies, a traditionally used Japanese flower, is combined with this wonderfully elegant vase. Although typically Japanese the piece also has a very English feel to it, highlighting the idea of the combining Eastern and Western cultures. The peaceful quality to the piece and the soft colour palette of mauve's and lilacs, makes it perfect for hanging on any wall.
