Description

"Anemones" is the third painting in my series of Japanese inspired floral artworks. The piece looks at a mixture of delicate anemones against the striking contrast of Japanese patterns. This series of works was heavily influenced by the striking designs of the Japanese kimonos: their sense of story and pattern. I have used a mixture of ink and embossing in this piece to create a sense of depth and texture. The sophisticated colour palette of mauve and turquoise make it perfect for any room.
