The Day after Sahmain’
The concept of the project was to entwine play and spirituality. In childhood a day can seem like a lifetime, and as a child you revel and connect with that special day and think of nothing else. I decided to create my own memorable day and link it with my spiritual beliefs. I chose the day after Sahmain, as Sahmain (Or Halloween 31st Oct.) is considered by some to be the most important of the Wiccan Sabbats celebrated and it also represents for many Wiccans the start of the New Year.
Photography for myself is a spiritual, instinctive practice, that allows me to enter a quiet realm that my analytical mind misses. The process of narrowing my perspective enables me to connect with my beliefs that everything has an energy and a presence.
