Painting makes me feel creatively alive, responding to the subjects which I admire and enjoy. Totally immersing myself in the subject, sharing with others what I have discovered and hopefully creating a lasting impression.

I work from observation and experience and aim to capture the atmosphere and mood of a scene in an impressionist and personal way, working from sketches and photographs to create a finished painting.

The more I paint the more I discover, constantly striving to extend my skills in water-based mediums, at times combining watercolour with pastels or using acrylics.
