I live about 5 minutes from a bay located on Lake Superior, which is the world's largest fresh water lake. Lake Superior has been likened to being an inland sea.

Lake Superior can unleash violent storms, or can be as calm as glass on a windless day.

This painting depicts one of the calm days. I plan on also doing a painting with Lake Superior showing it's violent nature.
