Description

This painting came entirely from my imagination. I love graceful, curvy shapes and in this painting I was inspired to play with the ruffled lotus leaves that stand above waterponds. I just thought “curvy ruffles” when I played with different sketching ideas. After I decided on the composition, that was the hardest part, the decorating of the ruffled shapes dressed up the shapes. I think the colors and shapes look tropical and happy and the movement says music so I called it Lotus Reggae after the tropical music beat. The painting is framed in a narrow, black metal.
