What is the story behind this painting?
"Striking Still Life Antique Bottle" is inspired by the subtlety of light, and the beauty found within that light. I created this painting using deep purple hues with striking gray brushstrokes in the background. This painting has a more classic vibe to it, and would be beautiful in any classic sort of room. I created this painting during 2007. The soft, beautiful subtlety and classic energy of this painting would make it perfect for a room with family heirlooms or antiques. Expressionist and Impressionist brushstrokes inspire many of my paintings, and also this one. My paintings, however, are created in a style that can not be singularly labeled as "Expressionist" or "Impressionist" but rather, are a reflection of my own artistic development and style.
