Description

"Japanese Vases and Poppy" is one of a selection of artworks that is inspired by my love of flowers and Japanese art. This piece looks at the delicate English poppy and places it against the striking beauty of the Japanese patterned vases. The aim of the piece was to show how a typical English flower could work so well with these Japanese arts. A mixture of techniques and medias have been used in this piece, including collage, inks and acrylics, which all help to give the piece a sense of depth.
