Description
"Swirling Lilies" is one of a selection of artworks inspired by my love of flowers and the art nouveau art period. This piece focuses on a selection of delicate mauve lilies created with the use of ink and a pipette. These flowers are then inter cut onto a blue ground. The piece captures the beauty of the flower, as well as its delicate state and movement. Fans of art nouveau will notice similarity's in the curvaceous lines and flowing movement. The piece has a very English feel to it, perhaps because of the delicate colour palette of blues,lilacs and mauve's. The prettiness of this painting, make it perfect for hanging on any wall.
