Description

"Violets and Vases" is one of a selection of still life paintings inspired by the Japanese"s kimonos patterns. I have used ink and watercolour in this piece to create a very delicate stylized flowers which are then inter cut with the background. The vases are then collaged using various papers and techniques. The colour palette of pale greens, lilacs and pinks is very soft and creates a very fresh, calming feel, which makes it a perfect piece for hanging on any wall. The artwork is currently unframed, but does come with a white mount, ready for framing.
